Herschel Belt (Sol Belt Alpha)
The Herschel belt (Sol belt alpha) is an asteroid belt in the Sol system, United Empire of Earth (UEE). Located between the orbits of Mars (Sol IV) and Jupiter (Sol V), it is where Humans first began to experiment with asteroid mining. Pure water ice harvested from the belt helped ease the water crisis during the Human Overpopulation Era in the 21st and 22nd centuries SEY.
